SmartBuy is a Power Apps-based smart procurement solution designed for organizations aiming to automate their procurement processes but facing challenges due to the high cost and low reliability of available solutions. Leveraging Microsoft’s Power App low-code environment, SmartBuy offers stability, efficiency, and an incredible ROI that was previously unattainable with conventional off-the-shelf solutions.
The Challenge
SmartBuy originated from the Intelligenes team identifying prevalent issues with readily available procurement solutions. These ready-made solutions often come with pre-built and pre-installed features, requiring customers to pay in full for functionalities they might not need. Additionally, they lack scalability, limiting customization according to an organization’s unique requirements.
Solution
Microsoft Power Apps is a rapidly growing and scalable technology. After thorough market research and exploration of Power Apps and Power Automate, we built SmartBuy to be easily customizable according to client requirements, addressing key pain points in procurement processes while ensuring seamless functionality. SmartBuy offers numerous features and integrates effortlessly with Microsoft Teams for Office 365 customers, allowing easy access and initiation of procurement processes.
With SmartBuy, users can create purchase requests, send them for approval, select vendors, and mark preferred vendors. The solution supports chain approvals for groups of companies and ensures finance officer oversight. Users can also specify price per unit, number of units, delivery date, and mode of payment.
Result
SmartBuy automates internal procurement processes, offering customization and integration with Microsoft Teams. It allows users to view and enter product details, and select preferred vendors. The app is suitable for both groups of companies and SMEs, enhancing efficiency and streamlining procurement.
